The Grinch of SF Fitness

Jim Carey is trained in CIA torture resistance techniques

He said so on Graham Norton last week

Fascinating thing is why

It was so he could endure the process of getting his make up done for when he played the Grinch

It took 8.5 hours the first day

And he did it 100 times for the movie

Shit.

Talk about dedication to your job

But yeah he actually had to learn torture resistance techniques so he could actually do it

Day after day.

And when it comes to doing the important stuff for your body and your health you gotta learn certain mental techniques too.

The whole suck it up and do it lingo is garbage

And that’s why people start to think they just aren’t good enough or they can’t do it

Goes back to why trying to use willpower is pointless too

Something the positive, happy clappy, inspirational quotes brigade just don’t get.

And at the seminar on Wednesday I’m gonna not only show you, but prove to you, why it’s ok to feel shit, negative and hopeless. And why you should feel like that more.

The way I’m gonna prove it is by telling my story. How I used to be the happy clappy positive thinking kinda guy.

But it wasn’t until I faced up to reality that I actually started to achieve what I wanted.

And I’m still on my journey, I’m only really starting and I still feel like a failure.

You’ll find out why here:

Health & Strength,

John O’C

P.S. I’m donating all the proceeds to charity, St. Vincent de Paul.

But I’m not letting people just donate without coming. Make yourself feel good without actually being true to yourself? No chance. That’s what you’re used to doing on a regular basis.

Escape from reality by eating, drinking, watching TV, scrolling through Facebook, anything but spending time with your thoughts

The seminar will be a big discovery for you. But it will also start a new chapter. And yeah that’s scary. I’ve already said if you’re feeling nervous or apprehensive then that’s exactly what you should be feeling. It means it’s important.
