4 essentials for getting fitter and healthier

We’re getting to that time of the year again

All the promises of a healthier and fitter new year

If you’re anything like me

You’re starting to feel a bit fed up of all the drink and food

I’m feeling tired, groggy and fairly bloated <–maybe it’s my time of the month

Makes wanting to feel better all the more appealing

But if you are thinking about doing something about it in 2016

Here’s 5 essentials to make it a success

1. Invest in a trainer/coach

The more you invest the more likely you are to show up and stick with it

Sure there are loads of cheaper options

But unless you are highly driven and self motivated these options won’t work

When it comes to you skipping a workout what’s gonna make you go more?

The fact you’ve paid a tenner for a weeks worth of training or 50+

2. Move your body

Might sound obvious. But I was talking to a friends mum at Christmas

She asked what machines are the best to use in the gym

That’s an easy one for me to answer

None

Machines move your body and so are far less effective than you moving it yourself

Plus it’s not the exercise that counts

It’s how you do it that matters most

That’s why I’ve spent years perfecting the SF system on HOW to exercise for maximum results

Rather than just giving our members random exercises

3. Get stronger

This is really important for your success.

Doesn’t matter what your goal is

If you get stronger and do it fast you’ll notice a whole load of changes

From feeling more confident,

to looking better,

Moving better,

to burning more calories,

and every day tasks becoming much easier.

4. Keep it Simple

One thing that’s gonna piss me off over the next few weeks are all the detoxes

and restrictive eating diets

You’ll have celebrities promoting them

People plastering their social media with how they’re starting one

And my problem with these is they don’t teach you a middle ground

If Christmas and New Year’s are the extremes of excess

Then detoxes and restricitive eating are at the other end

Nether are sustainable, at least I hope not

So where’s your middle ground?

Find that and you’ll finish next year in completely different shape than where you are now

And it just so happens that’s the exact plan you’ll get when you join SF Fitness

P.S. Gotta tell you about a great quote I heard from a seven year old

About bread,

I know a few adults who could learn a thing or two from him

Will fill you in another time…
